Biography

Catarina Novo received her Master of Sciences degree in Chemical Engineering at University of Aveiro, Portugal and ever since research has been a passion.

Her former experience as a researcher was at University of Porto, where she embraced a Chemistry project. At University of Aveiro and Instituto de Telecomunicações, Aveiro (IT) she widened the scope of her research experience engaging in Physics projects, optical fibre sensors.

In 2014 she started her Physics PhD in School of Engineering & Physical Sciences at Heriot-Watt University in microstructured optical fibre sensors.
