Room: EMB G.02

Nikolitsa Papachristou studied physics at university of Patras in Greece and she graduated in 2012. During 2012-2015 she did a Master degree in physics with specialization in Photonics at university of Patras, Greece. On her Master project she focused on two different fields, optical fibre biosensors and time resolved fluorescence spectroscopy. During the last year of her Master programme she got an Erasmus placements scholarship, where she joined the Applied Optics and Photonics group at Herriot Watt university for a three months project on Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy. She is currently studying for a PhD at Heriot Watt university and her main focus is to develop a curvature fibre Bragg grating sensor using a multicore fibre.
