Laser micro-sculpting of holographic security markings on high-value metal components

Development of a novel marking process based on the laser micro-sculpting approach, known as ‘YAGboss’, for the generation of holographic structures directly on the surface of high-value metal components, such as aero-engine parts and medical implants. The aim of this project was to improve the time for the generation of holographic structures. This project was carried out in collaboration with Renishaw plc (UK) and SISMA S.p.A (Italy).
